  Part 1: Skittles Advert Analysis 1) What  key conventions  of print adverts can you find and what are the  connotations  or deeper meanings of each convention?  For each convention, write about how it communicates meaning to the audience.  Why might charities use pictures of children in their advertising? Charities use pictures of children to make them a target audience for those who may have children themselfs.Charities normally normally use emotional images to endores their charity. As they know that connotations for children are innocent and harmless which is why people will feel magnanimity towards the children; as in the Water Aid advert they used a innocent kid to show how he needed water as the charity wants people to donate for them to get water.The Image can be swiftly noticeable towards the target audience as it is affiliated with a certain area in the world (lack on clean water, and lack of food).
